Qiuli Si Named 2024 LABA Blue-Chip Artist by the LABA Biennial International Art Festival

Beverly Hills, California, USA. 14th August, 2024. The Los Angeles Beverly Arts (LABA) and the LABA Biennial International Art Festival announced Chinese ceramic artist Qiuli Si was the recipient of the 2024 Blue-Chip Artist Award at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California. LABA members and distinguished guests honored Qiuli Si with a prestigious award ceremony and luncheon at the Beverly Hilton Circa 55 rooftop restaurant.


Since 2015, Qiuli Si has been at the forefront of ceramic art, leading a team of experts in exploring new techniques, concepts, and materials in contemporary ceramic art. His groundbreaking work includes the creation of the world’s largest porcelain plate art, measuring 8.7 meters by 2.8 meters by 16mm. This is a monumental piece that seamlessly blends traditional ceramic craftsmanship with modern Western contemporary art styles, showcasing

culture and art in a dynamic and innovative manner.

Qiuli Si is the founder Qiuli Si Ceramic Art, which has achieved international recognition, most notably at the 2018 Jingdezhen International Ceramics Expo. His piece "Benevolence" was permanently collected by the Vatican Museum in 2019, and it was later featured on the Vatican’s commemorative coins in 2022. The Vatican honored Si with an invitation to come to the Vatican and meet the Pope, which drew widespread attention for his art from around the globe.

The award luncheon was hosted by Princess Karen Cantrell, Co-chairman of the LABA Biennial International Art Festival, Todd Williamson, Chairman of LABA, and TV host Joey Zhou, founder of LABA and the LABA Biennial International Art Festival. During the event, Qiuli Si’s extraordinary accomplishments and contributions to the world of art were highlighted, and he delivered a heartfelt speech of thanks to LABA and all the guests at the event. The 2024 Blue-Chip Artist Award was voted and approved by over 20 judges from the LABA International Art Festival Organizing Committee.

The distinguished guests included Homeria Goldstein, world-renowned art collector and President of Manhattan Beach Art Center in Manhattan Beach, California, Chris Mann, singer/songwriter and four-time White House performer, Harrison Engle, director/filmmaker and founding Chairman of the International Documentary Association, Sir Laurent Khaiat, Marquis of Sicily and President of La Chaine des Rôtisseurs Beverly Hills, Yukiko Minami, President of Nikkei Global Group, Frank Eguchi, President of the Japan-America Society (JAS), Issa Ababseh, Curator of Future DMND Gallery, Christopher Gialanella, Publisher of Los Angeles Magazine, Maria Yue, Director of the International Documentary Association, and Douglas Ivanovich, President of Synth Studios and Executive Producer of the American Icon Awards.
