"Static" - A Poem

Writer: The Beverly ArtsThe Beverly Arts

Translated by Joey Zhou from his original Chinese poem

Move

Not just for walking

Squat down

Enjoy a moment of peace;

Raise leg

Not just for running

Look for

An ethereal inside and outside;

Mouth

a bouquet of roses

With blood

To leave the mark of pain;

Don't

Dawn

Because the edge is behind;

Refuse

Scorching Sun

Disturbing the many birds singing;

Alone

Millennium Castle

sit down

Contemplation...

Now

Sunset purple

Thousands of miles

Sleeping earth

Raise your hand

Dancing fingers

think

Does the piano sound?

Original

The shadow of the branches in the moonlight

Mottled with dreamy bloody piano sound;

Trembling...

Hands...

Hands...

Trembling...

As if

Whole heart

A long chord that spans three octaves from the Middle Ages!
