Sino-U.S. International Design Cultural Exchange Exhibition

Los Angeles, California, USA. 6th September, 2019. The 4th Sino-U.S. International Design Cultural Exchange Exhibition and the 2019 U.S. International Innovation Design Awards were held at the U.S. National Television studios in West Covina, California. The event was established to honor and exhibit the work of awarding winning designers from China and further promote cultural exchanges between China and the United States in the design industry.
The exhibition included displays of the award-winning designers and red carpet for the distinguished guests, attendees, and designers. Red carpet guests included Julie Ping Shen of JMK Modeling Media Academy, award presenters, and sponsors of the event.
The keynote speaker was Ms. Ming Fang Shen of the China International Interior Design Network who was one of the organizers of the event, along with the Sino-U.S. International Cultural Exchange Committee and the U.S.-China Trade and Culture Association. Ms. Zhang Sujiu, Honorary President of the American Federation of Chinese Communities, also delivered a speech. Since 2016, the event has grown to become one of the most highly regarded and recognized cultural exchanges in the design industry.
The Master of Ceremonies was Joey Zhou who introduced the distinguished speakers and guests. The opening ceremony began with a ribbon cutting ceremony that included Dario Castellanos, Councilmember of the City of West Covina, Ming Fang Shen, China International Interior Design Network, Mark A. Rafter, CEO Marco Polo Enterprises, Harrison Engle, President of the American International Documentary Association, Wang Shu, President of China-U.S. Cultural Exchange Association, Junying Zhu, President of US-China Trade and Culture Association, Stephen Lam, Councilmember of the City of Monterey Park, Zhang Sujiu, Honorary President of the American Federation of Chinese Communities, and Huibi Chen, Co-chairman of the American Federation of Chinese Communities.
Over 200 guests attended, including designers, elected government officials, political representatives, business guests, design agencies, and major media organizations. After the opening ceremony, the 2019 U.S. International Innovation Design Awards began and the designers were given their awards and presented with certificates. The winning designers included
Zheng Yun, Luo Guang, Lu Wei, Liliy Xu, Xue Wenkang, Fu Jiani, Xu Qian, Wu Yan, Luo Guang, and Zhang Meili. The Gold Award was presented to designer Chen Zhengmao by Junying Zhu, President of US-China Trade and Culture Association.
The awards ceremony was followed the 2019 Sino-U.S. International Designers Forum and a presentation by a renowned Chinese designer, Mr. Luo Guang, who spoke about the current trends and future developments in the design industry.
After the forum, the organizers congratulated all the winners and thanked all those who came and supported the event. They look forward to another successful event next year.
