Mayor Sharon Nazarian, City of Beverly Hills, gives a speech at "An Evening of Unity”


Beverly Hills, California, USA. 5th March, 2026. The Mayor of Beverly Hills, Sharona Nazarian, hosted, “An Evening of Unity” at the Saban Theatre in Beverly Hills. The event brought together the local community for a compelling night of reflection, connection, and entertainment. Featuring an international showcase of performers, it was a night to celebrate global diversity, awareness, and culture. With 1,500 guests attending throughout the night, the event focused on the central message - that unity is not just an ideal, but an active commitment. TV host Joey Zhou, founder of the Los Angeles Beverly Arts (LABA) attended the event.

The lobby reception opened the festivities, with vendors and representatives presenting cultural displays in an engaging environment where attendees could connect and strengthen community ties. Mayor Nazarian opened the program with remarks emphasizing resilience, mutual respect, and the importance of standing together in times of uncertainty. By bringing people together in a spirit of understanding and respect, she reaffirmed the role of local leadership in fostering strong, inclusive communities. Her speech highlighted Beverly Hills as a microcosm of global cultures and demonstrated how dialogue and collaboration can bridge differences.

The program featured a variety of other speakers, performances, and community acknowledgments, each reinforcing the evening’s international and unity theme. The performers included: comedian Max Amini (Iran), singer Arash Avin
 (Iran), singer/songwriter Aloe Blacc (USA), singer/actress Bia Borinn (Brazil), singer/violinist Victoria Gordon (USA), p
ianist/conductor Yajing Kang (China), opera singer Yealim Kim (Italy), singer/actress Eden Kontesz (Israel), classical/opera singer Abiodun Koya (Nigeria), Northern Shaolim Kung Fu Association Lion Dance (China), Samba Los Angeles (Brazil), and comedian Tehran Von Ghasri
 (Iran). Pageant participants from Virgelia Productions graced the stage wearing their national costumes from their respective countries for a dazzling display of beauty, diversity, and global unity.

Comedians Tehran Von Ghasri and Max Amini brought laughter to the audience, lighting up the event with their comedic talents. The singers and musical artists added an emotional dimension through the beauty and serenity of their voices and instruments, spreading positivity and transcending cultural barriers. The speeches and overall atmosphere were both reflective and forward-looking, encouraging participants to carry the spirit of unity beyond the theater walls.

The evening concluded with remarks from Mayor Sharona Nazarian, who spoke about the importance of having a shared sense of purpose and that embracing unity within the community remains one of the most powerful forces for our progress.
