Panorama City, California, USA. 12th July, 2023. Neon artist Lisa Schulte and LABA Blue-chip artist Jiannan Huang announced the completion of the artwork they created together, a collaboration of neon sculptured light and a bold and vibrant oil painting called "Silver River Flowing Through Golden Valley." Their artistic collaboration was announced last month at a press conference at Lisa Schulte's Nights of Neon studio in Panorama City, California. What is unusual about this collaboration is that the two artists have never met in person. Jiannan Huang lives in Beijing, China, and Lisa Schulte lives in Los Angeles. They worked together by communicating through interactive exchanges, video conferences, and using interpreters to overcome the language barrier between them.

The two artists first met during a video conference at the Los Angeles Beverly Arts (LABA) Icon Awards last year, and decided to collaborate on an art piece together. After nearly two months of research and discussion, Jiannan Huang's painting "Golden Valley and Silver Flowing “ which had just been valued at US$2 million was chosen as the basis for their collaboration. Schulte worked with her team to transform the oil painting into a unique neon sculpture art piece. Now that the art piece is completed, Lisa Schulte and Jiannan Huang will be discussing other possible collaborations, and how to market and exhibit the art piece.
