Secretary Zhao Shudong, former Party Secretary of the Cultural and Art Talent Center of the Ministry of Culture and Honorary President of the China International Calligraphy and Painting Art Research Association, delivered an opening speech. Secretary Zhao first congratulated Mr. Jiannan Huang on his artistic achievements that brought glory to the country, and expressed his love for Mr. Jiannan Huang's art. He encouraged Mr. Jiannan Huang to continue to work hard and achieve greater results after standing on a higher stage.

Minister Xie Zhongyu, Chairman of the First State Council and State-owned Key Large Enterprise Supervisory Board, also highly affirmed Mr. Jiannan Huang's world-renowned achievements in his speech, and hoped to see more Chinese contemporary art represented by Mr. Jiannan Huang going global in the future.

At the ceremony, Mr. Huang received the "Lifetime Honorary Member Certificate of the Independent Salon of the Grand Palais ART CAPITAL International Art Exhibition in France" from Jacques Daloze, the rotating chairman of the Art Captial 2024 International Art Exhibition at the Grand Palais in Paris, France, becoming the first artist in China and even Asia to receive this honor.

Jacques Rosivager, chairman of the Paris Grand Palais Independent Salon Organizing Committee, said that this award is the only lifetime achievement award won by a Chinese artist in the 140th anniversary of the establishment of the French Independent Salon. This is an important milestone in the history of Chinese art and even the history of world art. It is precisely because Mr. Jiannan Huang's artistic level and height have reached the evaluation standards of the organizing committee that he can receive such a valuable honor. According to Areewan Vincent, director of the Paris Grand Palais Independent Salon Organizing Committee Office, there are only 6 living artists who have been awarded the salon's lifetime honorary membership. Mr. Jiannan Huang will become the 7th living artist to receive this important honor. This is also the first time that this honor has been awarded to an Asian artist, which is of great significance.

Mr. Jiannan Huang said excitedly when sharing his acceptance speech: "As a Chinese painter, my biggest task is to create seriously and convey my feelings about this era, the world, and everything in the universe through my paintings.
