Irvine, California, USA. 17th March, 2026. The Los Angeles Beverly Arts (LABA) held an art performance event featuring artists Jianwei Zhu and Michael Janzen creating artwork live in front of the audience. Both artists are 2026 LABA Icon Award winners and received their awards at the recent LABA Awards ceremony held at the Luxury Gala 2026 Academy Awards Viewing at the Hilton Hotel in Universal City, California.

The event was hosted by ISEGSTAR, a healthcare group dedicated to advancing human health through technological innovation, health management, biotechnology, and medical research focused on extending genetic lifespan and improving the quality of life. TV host Joey Zhou, founder of LABA, and actress/model Dustin Quick led the activities which included the artists doing a collaborative art piece, a flute performance by Virginie Pichot, and take-home art pieces for the guests.

The attendees included Calia Lin, founder/CEO of ISEGSTAR (2026 LABA Lifetime Achievement Award winner), Kai Zhou, artist Christine Jardin-Sourgen (2026 LABA Icon Award winner), Sir Laurent Khaiat, Professor Lingyun Xiang, Clara Lobel (2026 LABA Icon Award winner), music artist Medi Em, actor Paul Louis Harrell, Danielle Nowak, members of the ISEGSTAR team, and other invited guests.

Jianwei Zhu and Michael Janzen created a collaborative art piece incorporating calligraphy and pen and ink brush together. They alternated adding to the art piece until it was completed, then finished it off with their signature and traditional ink stamp. At the end of the event, the artists created art pieces for the guests to take home, and ISEGSTAR hosted a wonderful Chinese dinner for everyone.
