Jiannan Huang Celebrates Royal Society of St. George Honorary Membership in China

Beijing, China. 28th April, 2021. Artist Jiannan Huang was honored with an honorary membership into the Royal Society of St. George California in Los Angeles on April 7th, 2021, but was unable to attend the ceremony due to the COVID-19 travel restrictions with China. Huang was honored for his many achievements and contributions to the art world, his charity work, his generous donations to many causes around the world, and his accomplishments internationally as the Overseas Art Advisor for the Beijing Winter Olympics 2022.

Upon receiving his certificate and medallion ribbon from the U.S., he had a celebration party at his studio in Beijing, China and invited several of his friends to join him and do their own ceremony. Huang printed out a large background like the one at the Los Angeles ceremony, and had his own red carpet with his invited guests, and honorary membership ceremony.

His guests re-created the ceremony that was done in Los Angeles, and presented him with the Royal Society of St. George honorary membership medallion ribbon. One of his guests did the honors of putting it on his jacket, making it a personal presentation. They also gave him the certificate and took photos of the entire ceremony. Huang was very appreciative of his honorary membership and wanted to have his own celebration. He looks forward to ability to travel sometime soon and the opportunity to meet the other members in the organization.

Princess Karen Cantrell, President of the Royal Society of St. George California, and Joey Zhou, Honorary member of the Royal Society of St. George California, were very honored to hear about his studio ceremony in Beijing, and went to the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills to have lunch, toast champagne glasses, and celebrate with him.
