"Formless Form " Exhibition at Mash Gallery with Artist Lisa Schulte and Artist Jiannan Huang


Artist Lisa Schulte meets LABA Blue-chip artist Jiannan Huang by video conference with TV host Joey Zhou at Mash Gallery


Los Angeles, California, USA. 15th May, 2022. On May 14, the Mash Gallery celebrated its new location at 812 La Cienega Avenue in Los Angeles, and held an exhibition called the "Formless Form". Joey Zhou the founder of The Beverly Arts, the Los Angeles Beverly Arts (LABA) and the LABA International Arts Festival, was invited to attend. Selected artists included Haleh Mashian, Bruce MacDonald, Anthony Liggins, Kenny Nguyen, LeRone Wilson, Aman Shekarchi, Chase Langford, Alberto Sanchez, Bryan Ricci, Lisa Schulte and Frank Hyder.

Lisa Schulte, one of the winners at the Second LABA Icon Awards, was one of the artists chosen to participate in this exhibition by gallery owner Haleh Mashian Lahijani. Schulte is an American artist, also known as the "Queen of Neon", known for her expressive neon sculptures. Schulte began bending neon signs in the early 1980s, making custom neon signs and neon prop rentals for the entertainment industry under her Los Angeles-based neon studio Nights of Neon.

During the exhibition, Zhou contacted LABA Blue-chip artist Jiannan Huang by video conference, who was in his art studio in Beijing, China. Huang wanted to meet Schulte by video conference and see her artwork at the exhibition. Huang was one of the judges for the Second LABA Icon Awards, and had the opportunity to talk with her and congratulated Schulte on her success. Huang was awarded the title of "Count" by the Indonesian royal family, and "Royal Paladin of Constantine" by Italy. In 2020, Mr. Huang was invited by the LABA International Art Festival Organizing Committee to participate in the LABA International Art Festival as a Blue-chip artist. Last year, he was awarded honorary membership of the California Chapter of the Royal Society of St. George (RSSG). On March 17, 2022, RSSG awarded Mr. Huang the "Master of Arts" award, and LABA named March 2022 "Jiannan Huang Month.”
