Artists from China Strive Ahead for the Second Los Angeles Beverly Arts (LABA) Biennial International Art Festival

Beverly Hills, California, USA. 14th March, 2024. The 2nd Los Angeles Beverly Arts (LABA) Biennial International Art Festival to be held in Beverly Hills, California has attracted the attention of the global art community. Currently, artists from the local US to as far as Europe are actively participating in the LABA Art Festival, showcasing artwork from around the world through online platforms. Artists from various Asian countries are also actively preparing, forming competitive landscapes with artists from Europe, the US, and other regions.


This year's festival is characterized by its unique online interaction and offline artwork exchange model, making communication between artists, organizers, and audiences closer. To receive direct feedback and evaluation from professional judges, many participants choose to mail their original works to the art festival's Los Angeles headquarters to partake in a one-on-one selection process.

Since last year, numerous talented Chinese artists have stood out and participated in this grand art event. Jie Geng , Xiaoyin Tan, Shanhe Wan, Xiuwen Wang,  Jeff Zhang , Gengmin Li, Yufen Li,  Xiaoli Chen, and Yun Wang are not just participants; they have also signed cooperation contracts with the LABA Biennial International Art Festival, deepening their connection with the international art community.



Jie Geng


1. Jie Geng is a member of the National Association of French Artists and the Spanish Royal Association of Painters and Sculptors (ASOCIAION ESPANOLA DE PINTORES Y ESCULTORES), and an honorary citizen of Saint-Remy-lès-Chevreuse, Versailles, France. His works, including "Encounter with the Mortal World," "Totem," "Malar," "Mutation," and "Red Blood Cells," are collected by prominent figures and institutions.

Yufen Li


2. Yufen Li, a Paris-based painter, studied at the National Superior School of Fine Arts in France. Her achievements have been recognized globally, with notable collections including "Adams" at the Grand Palais, Paris.

JueFu


3. Jue Fu, a sculptor and painter who graduated from the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts, has exhibited and won awards in over a dozen countries.

Xiaoli Chen


4. Xiaoli Chen , a painter and designer from Xi'an, Shaanxi, China, has studied classical oil painting and held personal exhibitions.

Gengmin Li


5. Gengmin Li, a member of various art associations in China, has been engaged in oil painting since 2001.

Xiuwen Wang


6. Xiuwen Wang, a distinguished painter and assistant research fellow at the School of Chinese Classics, China Jiliang University, has participated in numerous national calligraphy and painting competitions, winning awards for his works "Mountain and River Love" and "Mountain and Riverside Homes."

Xiaoyin Tan


7. Xiaoyin Tan, a contemporary artist, learned musical performance, calligraphy, and the basics of painting from a young age, and studied vocal music and majored in drama performance as he grew older. He has shot many films and TV dramas, serving as a director and producer. He has taught in the Performance Department of Shanghai Theatre Academy, cultivating many leading film and television stars, and is currently the head of the Performance Department at Qingdao Film Academy.

Yun Wang


8. Yun Wang graduated from the College of Arts at Florida Atlantic University (FAU). With a solid foundation in sketching and painting, she can create art in various styles. She excels at sculpture and sculpture and can express her ideas in three-dimensional space. She is proficient in digital art and can use digital tools to express artistic creativity.

Shanhe Wan



9. Shanhe Wan, an oil painter of Han nationality, graduated from the China Academy of Art and studied at the Repin Academy of Fine Arts in Russia. He is a member of the China Artists Association, a national first-class calligrapher, a Chinese state-guest artist, a member of the China Critics Association, a member of the China Photographers Association, vice chairman of the Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Art Committee, vice director of the Art Committee of Central Painting Academy of Minjian, dean of the Sichuan branch of Central Painting Academy of Minjian, visiting professor at the School of Fine Arts of Chengdu University in Sichuan, and vice chairman of the Sichuan Collectors Association.
