LABA Artist Jiannan Huang Sets New Auction Record at $7.3 Million USD

On December 19, 2019, the "Chinese Painting and Calligraphy" event was held at the China Arts and Crafts Exchange Center during a special session of Shanghai Kuangshi 2019 Autumn Auction. The internationally renowned artist, Jiannan Huang, set a new personal auction record with the sale of his "Bright Starry Sky" oil painting on canvas. The painting was created by Mr. Huang in 2016. After multiple rounds of auctions, the painting achieved a sky-high price of 46 million RMB which translates to $7.3 million USD (including commission), a new high! "Bright Starry Sky" is a large oil painting on canvas of nearly 3 meters in length. Just as scientists fantasize about the future of the universe, earth, and nature, Mr. Huang used his imagination and artistry to present his futuristic vision on canvas.
